Have you heard the old wives' tale "Sow seeds 3x the thickness"? Packets have specific instructions on the depth to sow seeds. Some tiny seeds require surface sowing to conserve energy.

Having difficulty removing the delicate seedlings from a seed tray? Use a lobster or pickle fork to gently remove it. Be sure the root ball is intact.

Seeds need the added nutrients found in Seed Starting Mix. After investing in high quality seeds, don't cheap out at pick up "soil."
